' Long beach Mardi Gras, Rainbow Harbor' returns March 5th

Mardi Gras is an all-day event to downtown long beach with the ' long beach Mardi Gras, Rainbow Harbor' on March 5, 2011! For the fourth consecutive year everyone with a New Orleans-style Mardi Gras all day Rainbow Harbor celebrate around, including the return of the long beach Mardi Gras Parade, activities and entertainment at the shoreline village, the Pike and the Aquarium of the Pacific to get a taste.

Before the parade starts free family-friendly entertainment Festival with the Mardi Gras kids zone at the Pike, pre parade entertainment at Bubba Gump and other music and art performances around the harbour. During the Festival, Mardi Gras fun stations will feature-mask making, bead making-to get face painting and other fun activities for everyone in the spirit of Mardi Gras.

The long beach Mardi Gras Parade is at 3 pm, for roles from the Aquarium of the Pacific and hundreds of costumed will feature and decorated parade goers planned. Last year's inaugural parade was a hit stroll with over 300 participants, dancing, biking and strut your stuff around the harbour throw pearls quantity and entertaining viewers. The party kicks up a notch after the parade in the shoreline village "party grass"! City Manager highlights long beach achievements in 2010

long-beach-achievements-2010Despite a dismal economy and drastic budget cuts the city could long beach complete several significant environmental initiatives, making neighborhood improvement projects and infrastructure improvements, as well as several awards in 2010.

"Working in 2010 resulted from the Mayor and City Council's policy direction and the efforts of the city hard-working employees," City Manager Patrick West.  "These benefits would be remarkable even in good financial times, but should be given as nothing short of incredible the serious financial difficulties that all cities are facing."

In 2010, for example, the city long beach maintained a 9 million US dollars budget stabilization fund: who started "go long beach" Smartphone app report potholes, graffiti and other service needs of the city; and entered an agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of engineers, a feasibility study for the East San Pedro Bay ecosystem restoration (formerly long beach breakwater project) to carry out.

The musical, cats, feline adoption in long beach

La Traviata sets the Valentine dinner table for romance

Long Beach's most romantic restaurants Valentine's line up is still more heated with his. Reduce USPS lean of green teams, energy, water, waste

The teams are helping mesh cost and no-cost sustainable practices with performance management systems, the postal service apply to help the following reduction goals by 2015:

The postal service is Dzuray on the way to achieve these goals, and plans to provide lean green teams nationwide by 2012.

"Our employee green teams are an important part to reduce our carbon footprint and building a culture of conservation."
